Tropical Fans for NY Client

Last week we worked on a semi-rush order for our lauhala fans. Our client wanted a satin cerulean - turquoise blue ribbon bow with personalized tags for her lovely wedding in New York. Each fan was hand-wrapped with single-faced satin ribbon and topped off with a hand tied bow with extra long tails :) Each fan also had a custom favor tag attached to the bow for a complete and elegant personalized look.

200 "Tiffany Love"s to New Zealand

This week was filled with turquoise boxes and bow making! By the end of the week, my fingers were raw from tying so many bows! But the end result was worth it. We had a rush order for 200 of our boxes to New Zealand for a very important corporate event. I must say that my husband played a HUGE role (thank you, love) in helping me get these boxes out the door in time, if not for him it would have taken me twice as long. While he was in charge of folding and assembling all the boxes, I got started on hand-tying each double bow. SO much work is involved regarding a small little 2" box! It doesn't help that I have a small perfectionist problem either, but when it comes to my favors.. only the best will do! Within a couple days we were finished and here is our final result:

CFOTW - 04.01.12

Our custom favor of the week was inspired by The Wedding Wire Blog's Inspiration Board: Tiffany Blue. This turquoise colored theme has been the color of many weddings ranging from brides who love Tiffany & Co., those who love the movie "Breakfast at Tiffany's" or those who just simply love that Robin's Egg Blue color.

Our "Tiffany" themed favor bag is the one of the largest sizes we offer regarding favor bags, it's 5x7" in size, topped with a white satin ribbon bow and a personalized heart tag. Simple. Clean. Elegant.

Our custom favor of the week was inspired by one of The Knot's "Top 10 Wedding Trends of 2012" - Long Sleeves & Lace. We were very excited to see lace as an upcoming wedding trend as we've been wanting to experiment and see exactly how well lace and favors could coincide. In the past, lace had been a symbolism of privilege as the working-class women created lace for the upper-class women. Now we see lace as a symbol of delicate beauty and femininity.

Along with lace as our inspiration, we used a kraft paper favor box, mocha colored organza ribbon and a satin antique gold ribbon to tie the whole look together.
